Metal Artist Rob Jung - Life Size and Small Sculptures

Rob is a third generation welder and over 35 years in the weld repair and fabrication industry. His love of the outdoors has had an influence on some of his creations.

"My view of art is much the same as weld repair. I picture it in my mind then figure out ways to create it using what’s available."

He is a successful full time self employed metal artist with a registered business since 2020, located in Melfort Saskatchewan Canada.

His journey in metal art began when he came across some photos on the internet and thought he should give it a try, and see if anyone had interest in buying his creations.

He began by creating and selling smaller items. He was approached to create a large sculpture for a meditation garden for a local community group. His overwhelming feeling was to sculpt a full size “angel” figure on a bench. Weeping Willow. Covered in weld “ bark” which has become his signature style and not done by other artists.

Rob taught his twin son and daughter to weld and they each added texture to the bench.

In years to follow his son and father have both helped with various projects.
